Real Wedding: Jono and Erica

Wedding Ceremonies have a whole new meaning for me in 2014. For the first time I experienced being the mother of the groom. It was one of the best days of my life. In fact I think it was perhaps even sweeter then when I got married simply because love creates greater love.

Overwhelmed with gratefulness, family and friends came together to help us celebrate the marriage of our son Jonathon to the beautiful Erica Towns. We are so grateful to staff and to people within New Directions Community Church who so carefully prepared the grounds and setting for our son and daughter in law.

I have been involved in over 150 weddings

but this one was very special because it was my boy marrying his child hood sweetheart and I didn’t have to do a thing except kick back the heels and enjoy the day.

The Celebrant was a dear friend to the family and pastor of the Rock church at Penguin. As a mum sitting there watching your son get married I loved the tender love and thought put into the ceremony. I loved listening to the carefully chosen words. Words are so powerful because they express the deepest parts of our heart.

The Ceremony itself was reminiscient of days gone by when people lived in larger communities and gathered to celebrate the seasons of life with their family and friends. We had an open invitation to the ceremony and friends and family members not able to attend the small reception were invited to celebrate the Ceremony. As parents we were so grateful for for the wide support that our children received. Our kids knew on their most special day that they were deeply loved by a large group of people. For a mum I am overwhelmed with gratefulness. To know that your children are deeply loved and supported by a wider community is such a gift.

We are grateful to our staff who served a beautiful afternoon tea on the lawn. We loved the punches, we loved the food and we loved how you served – nothing was too hard.

To all that came and helped us celebrate from the bottom of our heart thank you we had the best of days.

We loved working with Clint and Bethanie. As a family we love taking photos of other people but don’t necessarily like being in them. Clint and Bethanie made the whole process easy for us as a family and we ended up with photo’s that we will treasure forever. Loved the professionalism, the talent, the creativity and the couple. Forever grateful.

Special Offer: If you book your reception in the months of January, May, June, August or December you will receive a complimentary garden or chapel ceremony valued at $1200.
