Sarah & Jacob surprised their guests with this stunning outdoors wedding.  They invited their guests under the guise of an engagement party and tied the knot on the Willow Lawn.

What was your favourite part of the day?

My favourite part was right after the ceremony – walking back down the aisle in front of our family & friends with the man I love & our amazing children! ❤

Our favourite part of their wedding day?

Was watching Jacob in the lead up to the announcement that guests were in fact attending a wedding not an engagement party.  He simply wanted to say, “I Do.”  He wanted to claim Sarah for his own heart.  I loved watching his absolute love and joy for his future wife and his agitation to “Get on with it…”

It was so beautiful.

Why did you choose to have a surprise wedding?

The reason we chose a Suprise wedding is because we have found that sometimes people focus too much on their ‘wedding’ rather than their actual marriage. For us, it was more important to celebrate our love in a relaxed, no pressure environment, rather than a formal, sit down scenario. Having two children & mortgages we also wanted to go a more budget friendly route, because as I said,  it’s about the love you have for one another not the amount of money you spend.

What is marriage to you?

To me, marriage is legitimizing a relationship. It’s making a commitment to the one you love to always put them and their needs above you and your own needs, it’s about sacrifice, it’s about acceptance, support, friendship.. the list goes on. It is and always has been very important to me. My parents are happily married and have been for over 30 years, and I’ve always wanted that for myself. I think it shows such character and strength when two people can stand by each other not only in the amazing times in life, but when life throws the cruelest curve balls.

Thank you Sarah & Jacob for sharing your heart, your soul and your life with us.

Enjoy life and love xxx
