Real Wedding: Chantelle & Michael
Chantelle & Michael had such an ease and calm around each other as friends that everyone knew that one day they would marry.
Whilst it might have taken Michael 6 years to pop the question and an accidental burning of the wedding certificate on the day of the wedding we can all jump and dance and sing and say, “They finally got hitched!”
They simply adore one another. Kindness towards one another is how I would describe their relationship. They are kind and considerate, always checking in with each other with words and looks – is this what you want?
From beginning to end their day was such a delight to plan. On the day we just loved hosting them and their guests.
Chantelle’s dress was one of the most beautiful dresses I have seen on a bride. Elegant, soft, pretty and ethereal.
Michael was a gorgeous groomsman welcoming his bride. He had a smile as big as the sun on his face. You could tell they simply adored each other.
The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their soft blue.
Chantelle’s maid of honour Stacey would have to take out Bridesmaid of the Year. She simply showed up with Big LOVE for over a year. Supportive, positive, bending over backwards throughout the whole process of putting the wedding together. You could tell these two girls genuinely loved and cared for each other and had a friendship that was for keeps. Love how BIG you love Stacey. You are a friend for keeps. I loved how you just kept showing up for Chantelle. It was beautiful to watch.
Loved the vows that they spoke to one another and how they really tried to own them when they repeated the words of love and promise.
“I take you to be my best friend, my faithful partner and my one true love. I promise to encourage you, to inspire you, to love you truly through the good times and the bad.
I will forever be there to laugh with you, to lift you up when you are down and to love you unconditionally through all of our adventures in life.”
We loved how simple Chantelle kept the styling. Choosing rosette grey runners, setting them off with simple blue candles in keeping with the colour of the bridesmaids. It was beautiful.
Their first meal as a couple was the Shared Banquet which went down as a treat.
We loved every moment of planning, preparing and doing your wedding. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day.
Our prayer and our hope is that you will simply enjoy the gift.
That life will sizzles and pop and make you both laugh out loud. That you won’t get to the end of your today or to the end of your tomorrow and realize that all life has been is a collection of meetings, errands, receipts and dirty dishes. I pray that you will sit on the couch and watch old movies, that you will pop a coke or a beer and watch the sun set. That you will get sunburnt and crusty, eat cold tangerines and sing out loud. I pray that you will stay up late at night laughing and dancing together under our beautiful Southern skies. That you will sleep on hard clean white sheets and throw parties and eat ripe tomatoes and read books that make you want to jump up and down. I pray that everyday you will make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life and love and marriage to people who love the gift.
Chantelle and Michael thanks for having your wedding with us. We simply adored your day.
