My future daughter in law has the best of friends who designed a beautiful picnic bridal shower for her on the River Lawn.  The day was perfect, the river was glistening and girlfriends young and old gathered to give Erica a wonderful bridal shower.

Beautiful patchwork quilts and pillows were scattered across the lawn, perfectly patterned straws filled the mason jars, gay and vibrant paper pom poms hung over the archway.  Guests enjoyed raspberry and passionfruit tartlets; lemon cake, freshly made raspberry and chocolate croissants, cheese crackers and dips and beautiful fresh fruit.  Whilst the bubbly was poured, the favourite was mamma’s old fruit punch recipe.

The gift table was laden with kissed gift recipes beautifully written with love and collated into a recipe book.  Ingredients to make the recipes burdened the gift table.

As I looked around during one of the hilarious bridal games I saw amazing women from all different stages of life come together to genuinely love my future daughter in law  and I marvelled at the simplicity of love.  Thank you to the beautiful bridesmaids who went to so much trouble to creates a wonderful picnic bridal shower.
