A garden that
earns its title
What most people don’t realise until they visit is how considered the whole setting is. The ornamental pear trees change with the seasons, giving the lawn a completely different character in spring blossom, summer green, and autumn gold. The dappled afternoon light through the poplars does what no hired lighting rig could replicate.
The practical side is just as well considered. Power is available on the lawn, close parking and bathrooms are steps away rather than a walk, and the space is accessible by private driveway for anyone who needs it. You get all the feeling of being away from it all, with none of the compromises that usually come with it.
For evening events, festoon lighting goes up across the lawn. Fire pits come out. The whole space shifts into something warmer, more social, and harder to leave.
Power & Festoon Lighting
The lawn has full power access, making live music and sound simple to set up. A speaker and microphone are available for ceremonies and speeches. For evening events, festoon lighting is strung across the lawn, warm and generous overhead, the kind of light that makes everyone look their best and nobody wants to go home under.
Fire Pits
Two fire pits are available for your event, positioned on the lawn or off to the side. At any time of year they become the spot where guests gather, linger, and stay longest. In the cooler months, they're a centrepiece.
Wet Weather Backup
Tasmanian weather does what it likes, and we plan for that. Every Willow Lawn booking includes a reserved wet weather backup in one of our indoor spaces, so the day you planned for stays the day you planned for.
Mobility & Access
The Willow Lawn is accessible by private driveway for guests with mobility needs. Access from the bottom car park is pram-friendly via a gently sloping pathway. The space is designed to welcome everyone.
