The Cradle Room is Tailrace’s most intimate space, and that intimacy is precisely what makes it work. No microphones needed here. Facilitators and delegates speak naturally, questions get asked that wouldn’t get asked in a bigger room, and the conversation that actually needed to happen usually does.

Small by design
The Cradle Room is small by design, not by compromise. There’s a version of every meeting that works better when the group is close enough to read the room, catch the hesitation in someone’s voice, and follow a thread without losing it.
Facilitators who use this room regularly tell us the same thing: the Cradle does something to a group. People show up differently when the space feels human-sized.
When the event calls for more room, the Cradle doesn’t have to work alone. One operable wall splits it neatly into two separate rooms for parallel sessions or breakout groups. A second wall opens directly into the Freycinet Room, giving a larger conference a dedicated breakout space, green room, or catering area without anyone needing to go far.
AV & Technology
Projector screen and sound, set up and ready before you arrive. Just bring your laptop and we'll get you connected. A microphone is available on request. Free wifi for everyone.
Operable Walls
Two operable walls give the Cradle its flexibility. Divide the room into two separate spaces for parallel sessions or small breakout groups. Or open the wall to the Freycinet and let it serve the larger event next door.
Climate Control
Heating and air conditioning keep the room comfortable year-round, whatever the season outside.
Equipment & Extras
Lecterns, whiteboards, flip charts, and markers available on request. Every Tailrace room comes with water stations as standard.
