Daniel and I were married on the 29th of January 2016…
It also happened to be the rainiest day in January!
We held our ceremony at Hollybank Forrest. It was where we had met working as zipline guides. We were so blessed to have our reception at the Tailrace Centre.
During our first meeting at the Tailrace Centre, Sophie made us feel really welcome. She was so genuinely interested in us as a couple.
Both Sharon and Sophie were so accommodating to our requests and it was like nothing was a problem. We decided to use the Tamar room which was the perfect size for our 80 guests and also gave us such a beautiful view of the river.
All the decorations were set up the day before the wedding by the staff and everything looked exactly we had asked. All we had to do on the day was turn up and enjoy ourselves – no fuss, no stress.
On the night, all the staff were so helpful and welcoming.
When we arrived, slightly late due to the flooding which caused huge traffic jams Sharon immediately came to us. She had bought us a much needed bubbly and beers. We were allowed to take photos around the Tailrace Centre including the ball pit in Kids Paradise! The bar and wait staff in particular were fantastic and the food was absolutely AMAZING.
Our guests are still talking about how incredible everything was.
Daniel and I highly recommend the Tailrace Centre for anyone wanting the most wonderful wedding reception.
We had such a beautiful night and were made to feel like we were the most important people on earth. It was such a special and memorable experience.
We are so grateful to Sharon and Sophie and all the staff at the Tailrace Centre for everything.
Thank you for helping our wedding day be so perfect.
